    GORGEOUS RARE SINGLE Original Antique Victorian CHILD's Leather Dress Strap Sandal/Shoe, c.1870!!!
    DESCRIPTION:
    Beautiful, unusual fancy antique Victorian c.1870 child's shoe. I won't guess at the size, but bottom sole is only 5" long x 2" wide. Probably about a 1-2 year old child. Heavy, substantial fine black leather. Almost looks like early patent leather. Thin, soft leather lining. Nice heavy leather bottom, with significant, but even wear. Shows that it was used, but in excellent condition.
    The best part of this shoe is that it appears to be an early type of SANDAL. Low profile, with only 1 thin strap around ankle to hold it. Strap is held by an early round Victorian button, which is still intact.
    This is among the nicest made child's shoe I have seen, with a super look to it. PROBABLY FROM A VERY WELL TO DO FAMILY.
    I have never seen anything like this. It has a particularly nice look, shape, height, proportions, and early style. Has a real overall early Victorian look. Leather is in excellent condition overall and has nice patina.
    In any case, you will not see many such unique antique child's shoes anywhere, and few are in such nice used condition. A NICE ADDITION TO AN ANTIQUE CHILD'S SHOE COLLECTION.
